India will soon see the official launch of the POCO M8 5G. Here’s a preview of its potential features
POCO is preparing to augment its widely recognized M-series of cost-effective smartphones with the forthcoming introduction of the POCO M8 5G in the Indian market. The company has initiated the dissemination of preliminary details regarding the device’s anticipated specifications prior to its official release. The launch is slated for the near future, and a Pro variant may also be presented as part of this series.
POCO M8 5G: Teaser and Design
A recent X post from POCO has unveiled the initial design glimpse of their forthcoming POCO M8 5G. The shared visual prominently displays the phone’s rear and its camera arrangement. The back of the device features a two-toned black finish, accented by vertical stripe motifs on either side. This aesthetic choice mirrors the rear design of the anticipated Redmi Note 15 5G, slated for release on January 6th. The shared design language between these two devices hints at commonalities within Xiaomi’s product family.
The POCO M8 5G’s rear camera system is positioned centrally on the back. It’s housed within a square-shaped module with softened corners, which protrudes slightly from the surface and accommodates several camera components. POCO has officially stated that the device will boast a 50MP main camera with AI capabilities. While the camera island contains three lenses and an LED flash, specific information regarding the other sensors has not yet been disclosed by POCO.
The teaser images also reveal the location of the physical controls. The power and volume buttons are situated on the right edge of the phone. The device’s sides appear to have a curved profile, potentially enhancing grip and user comfort during everyday handling.
